About Me
Ahoy-hoy! I joined couchsurfing in 2012 but hadn't really logged in again until very recently (2017). I haven't really ever lived in a place where I could offer accommodation and haven't couchsurfed (yet!) myself.
I have 3 cats that live with me (not a crazy-cat-lady, I promise!) and they're little assholes and angels all at the same time...again, not a crazy cat lady, that's it about my cats.
I enjoy being active (running, yoga, SUP, kayaking, swimming, obstacle course runs, etc) and equally enjoy being not-so-active (reading, soaking up some sunshine on the deck with a cold beer or nice glass of wine, kickin' back with my boy - Netflix, etc).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to travel to New Zealand one day (in the not-so-distant future) and would prefer to crash on the couch of locals/chat a bit. I'd be down for hostels too of course, but it would be nice to switch it up once in a while.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music. Metric is number 1 for me, however I really dig music from the 70's - specifically folk rock. Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Crosby/Stills/Nash/Young are gems. If you like the 70's (and by that, I mean pretty well everything the 70's produced minus disco...although that's cool too!) then you'd love my Spotify playlist.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Yeesh, what is this!? One thing? ...Let me come back to this...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm just about to start learning ASL (American Sign Language) so that's exciting. Perhaps if you're fluent, or would like to learn a few things, I could chat with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An awful sense of humour, cat hair on your clothes as a souvenir, Netflix, a night out at a small town's only pub which is kind of a bucketlist-worthy-event in itself.
