I am a walking conundrum - artistically inclined, but over controlling and analytically ...outgoing, but will gladly ignore the world for a good book...hyper and adventurous, yet at times reserved and shy.

I love people, getting to know someone knew, or gaining a new perspective on an old friend is what I thrive on. Relationships feed my soul and I want to connect with people all over the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I starting participating in this community in 2009, and have surfed, hosted, traveled, met up, talked, grabbed coffee, camped and talked for hours with so many amazing individuals.

As I start a new journey into the life of a nomad, I am looking forward to the new people I will have the lucky opportunity to meet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed couches in Hawaii, Thailand, Indonesia, Tanzania, Malaysia and a few other places. Hosted a few times as well. But my real CouchSurfing experience is not about a place, but about all the people. I have experienced an openness, an acceptance, and a connection that is hard to find and yet so readily available at my finger tips. This is truly an amazing and unique community we are a part of.

People..cultures...what makes us tick - meeting new folks and trying to truly understand them, living each day like it is the only time you will ever have, trying to figure out what makes each culture different, and the roles imposed in each culture.

Photography...design...creating with my hands - experiencing amazing things and trying to capture the moment on film, crafting something beautiful so I can give it away.

Nature...animals...the great outdoors - camping, hiking, skiing, rock climbing, fishing, anything that keeps me connection with the earth.

Anything and everything ever created, grown, designed, thought of, imagined, crafted, seen, built or experienced on this wild, amazing planet we all call home.

Movies: anything as long as I have never seen it before

Music: rock, folk, classical, opera, indy, punk, rap, jazz and almost everything in between (even a little country now and again). I love Portishead, Morcheeba, Digable Planets, dMb, all the incredible singer songwriters I know, Nahko Bear, Amos Lee and many others.

Books: I am a huge sci-fi/fantasy buff, but I also like biography's, adventure, cultural documentaries, photo albums and poetry.

I climbed Mt. Rainier when I was 8 and saw the sun peak over the horizon on one of the most beautiful days a person could ask for. I remember it as the first times I realized the beauty of the world around me and the potential for all I could see and experience.
