ABOUT ME

I am a self employed musician. The music I do is North Indian Classical Music called Hindustani Music. The sitar and surbahar are my voice to portray this music.

When I am not performing, teaching, or studying and practicing the music, I am experiencing everything else that this planet has to offer :)

I really enjoy learning and having experiences. Some of my favorite places are libraries to places of music, and any where outside in nature. I am a social creature. I like meeting new people and different cultures.

I prefer cooking at home then eating out. It tastes better and it is so much cheaper. I like to think I can cook a decent curry and enjoy the opportunity to share it. The best is cooking together creating delightful conversation and kitchen chaos!

I grew up playing a lot of sports. Ice hockey was the dominate out of the bunch. I love games, especially board games. Chess is good, but I just got hooked on Go. Running around playing Tag works. A great word game called Contact is a lot of fun. It was shown to me by another CSer. Ask me about playing telephone with paper. Oh and PUNS are FUNS!!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Just think of the trees: they let the birds perch and fly, with no intention to call them when they come and no longing for their return when they fly away. If peoples hearts can be like the trees, they will not be off the Way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing that I've experience was floating in the Dead Sea while standing vertically in the water. So much fun just running in place too. It's just so nifty how everything floats so well in that sea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Music...to anyone!!! Just counting to 3 can be a lot of Fun!!!

I like to learn anything that I do not know. I always try to keep an open mind. I enjoy a good Challenge!

I can share all what I know: music, cooking, conversation, philosophy, games, stories. But, the best I can offer is my perspective on Hindustani music.
