About Me

Updates: I'm currently living in a small village 40km to Lijiang. I know lots of unbeaten tracks, feel free to contact me if you want to see the rural side of Yunnan (you can check Xinhua, the Chinese silver town), some suggestions to avoid the crowd or want to create something together.

I like to see things that startle me, feel things that I never felt before and meet people with a different point of view. I’m often drawn by the idea of how easy it is sometimes to connect with people you'd never know if you never travel.

Interests

I like spending my free time reading books, watching documentaries, writing weird poems, or doing anything outdoor / in the nature. Deeply in love with this world. I often feel as a curious child, tirelessly exploring this blue planet as a big playground.

I barely use public transport when I travel, which means I always end up walking a lot, and getting lost a lot too, since I mainly follow my misleading instincts . No matter in cities, mountains, forests or anywhere else, I love feeling the place with my eyes, absorbing everything I see and stopping at whatever catches me.

I love riding motorbike too, especially in mountains when it's raining or on islands where the ocean often appears all of a sudden . Some of the best things to see in life to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Book has been my quietest and most constant friend wherever I go. Some of my favorite writers are: Jean-Paul Sartre, Graham Greene, Gabriel García Márquez , Alice Munro and many more. If I have to choose a favorite book, I'd say Nausea by Jean-Paul Sartre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching teenager monks Chinese in several temples of a border village in Thailand or hitchhiking from Melbourne to Perth in Australia. It still touches me every time thinking about the unbelievable trust, love and kindness people have shown me.
