About Me

Hi, I’m Pheenix! After spending time living in different cities and traveling abroad, I’ve recently returned to my hometown, Chiang Mai, where I’m exploring new business ventures that align with my passion for creativity, travel, and connecting with people. My experiences living overseas and meeting people from diverse backgrounds have shaped my love for cultural exchange and lifelong learning.

I believe that life is a beautiful adventure, and the best parts are the stories, connections, and lessons we gather along the way.

Fun Fact:
I believe the magic of travel lies in the people you meet—it’s always about the journey, not just the destination!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is more than a platform—it’s a way to experience the world through human connection. I love learning about different perspectives, trying new foods, and having engaging conversations with people from around the globe. Hosting and surfing are both opportunities to share kindness and create unforgettable moments together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
My taste in music depends on my mood—I love anything from relaxing acoustic tunes to upbeat electronic beats. Artists like FKJ, Tom Misch, and Bonobo are my go-to for chill vibes, while classic jazz and soul always have a special place in my heart. When I need energy, funk and disco never fail to lift my spirit.

Movies:
I’m drawn to movies that explore human connections and personal growth. “Into the Wild” and “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” are some of my favorites for their messages of adventure and self-discovery. I also love beautifully crafted films by Wes Anderson and meaningful dramas like “The Pursuit of Happyness.”

Books:
Books are my windows into new worlds. I’m passionate about personal development and philosophy, with favorites like “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle and “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl. I also enjoy travel-inspired stories and thought-provoking novels like “Shantaram” and “The Alchemist.”

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Discovering the world of freediving and yoga has been one of the most transformative journeys of my life. Through freediving, I learned to embrace the ocean’s stillness and silence while developing inner strength, breath control, and a sense of calm I never knew I had. Yoga complemented this by teaching me the power of mind-body connection, and both practices introduced me to the profound art of mindfulness. Learning to be fully present in each breath, each moment, has not only deepened my connection to myself but also to the world around me. This journey has changed how I approach life—with more patience, awareness, and gratitude.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I’m happy to share what I know about mindfulness, yoga, and breathwork from my journey into freediving. I can also teach some basic Thai language and introduce you to Thai culture and local traditions. If you’re interested in travel tips for Thailand or unique experiences in Chiang Mai, I’d love to help!

Learn:
I’m always excited to learn from people’s unique experiences, especially about different cultures, languages, and creative business ideas. I’m also fascinated by food culture, so learning to cook new dishes or discover culinary traditions is something I always welcome.

Share:
I’d love to share stories from my travels, meaningful conversations about life and personal growth, and a spirit of curiosity and connection. I believe in creating spaces where people feel comfortable and inspired, and I’m always up for exploring new places together.
