About Me

I'm an North American girl born and raised in northern Colorado. I have travelled to almost every state in the U.S. , except Arkansas! I am a HUGE dog person. I sometimes enjoy their company more then humans particularly when I have been away from our dog for a while....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Rarely do I enjoy staying at others homes, but I like to meet up with locals so I understand their country/state/city better and I don’t mind hosting! We’ve.hosted some really wonderful folks that I now call friends! That’s priceless.

Interests

Scuba diving, Travel, Permaculture, Bikram Yoga, Live Music, Helicopters, Cooking, Dogs, long talks about the universe and how we may have gotten here—or anything about the spirit and it’s evolution. And helicopters. I adore them and most of the people that fly and maintain them. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, especially live music - it's hard for me to just pick one, but I gravitate towards Warren Haynes, The Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Joni Mitchell, Metallica, The Beastie Boys, Duran Duran, Pearl Jam, Lady Gaga and now I’m really enjoying exploring Catalan and some French music.... and I'm almost always up for going to the symphony or an opera. I just really can't stand christian metal slay rock, like ever, and musicals before 10am. Yeah, let’s not do that! Ever! 😂

My movie interest is just as varied as my music interest, I enjoy a good indie film but like a good action-packed mega movie as well! Mainly I like films about myth, legend, history, spirituality and many documentaries. Books are the same way - witty authors, most anything on the human relationship with the environment, including spirituality, historical fiction, eastern philosophy, religion, geography, yoga, dogs --and a good story about human struggle or accomplishment.

Oh - and cookbooks --- I probably read and use them the most!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ferried a helicopter across the United States. It’s quite amazing to see the heartland from 700-1500 feet off the ground! Flying through the wind farms was strangely peaceful.

Also, I'm currently raising a teenager in the U.S.A. at a time of the internet, mobile phones, and world political upheaval. It's an amazing experience, to say the least....
