I'm patient, tolerant, open-minded and respectful. I'm eager to know who you are and what you believe in. I love nature and animals, humans included.

PHILOSOPHY

"If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together." I live my life trying to know as much as I can about the world I'm in, observing and appreciating differences, learning, talking and listening, promoting cultural exchange, tolerance and understanding. I'm honest and outspoken, but try to do my best not to hurt people's feelings about things and beliefs. Among other things, I owe so much to encounters. In life I've been blessed with countless chances to meet unique people from many countries, some of whom key to my growth.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly hosting at the moment. I'm not currently travelling very much, although I did so in the past. I feel that hosting people, counterbalances the above, and is like travelling without moving.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hugely enjoied each and every encounter I've had through couchsurfing, even though, I have to say, CS is looking a tiny bit too commercial lately, and going through the find-a-couch process has become a pain. So, do send your request via a simple but nice message if you're short of time, I'll understand!!! However, do take a minute to read my profile if you can, and possibly keep me updated about your decisions. Because there are couchsurfers who ask you for a couch, keep in touch for months, and then just disappear without answering when asked about confirmation of arrival... yes, I'm still one of those boring old fashioned guys who believe manners are important and appreciates a message saying "hey, I opted for another accomodation, thanks for you time".

Interests

I love all Outdoors sports, climbing, hiking and backcountry skiing, kayaking. Mountains, wild and majestic nature, the sea. Silence, and a few good friends to share all this with, away from the masses. This is also why I decided to live in a remote country spot after spending a period of hectic life between Birmingham and Coventry (UK). Then, food, books, movies, music. And my pets.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies and books that talk about humans, travels, states of mind, social problems. I'd switch easily from stupidly funny stuff to movies which would make me think for years. I love music. Music is anywhere.
