About Me

ABOUT ME

I completed a history degree, and took two (one unplanned!) GAP years. As a lone 18 year old female traveler, I had some fun/interesting/scary experiences traveling, in particular, around South America. I've somewhat fallen in love with the continent and have been back since.

Owing to an ex-boyfriend, I spent 2009/2010 living in Germany first in Stuttgart and then in Berlin. I first encountered CS in Stuttgart, and haven't looked back since as I've made some amazing friends as a result.

Since Autumn 2010, I've been working for a large company on their graduate scheme. As part of this, I've moved around quite a bit - Derby, Netherlands, Sunderland and now back to Derby! I went to a few CS events in Rotterdam, and made an amazing friend through this who helped me find my way! Since then, however, I've not really been that involved so I'm keen to re-connect with the world of CS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing experience?!?!? Gosh I've had loads of amazing experiences from watching turtles being hatched on a remote beach in Nicaragua, going clubbing in Buenos Aires till 6am, to trying my first ever fondue with three guys (Australian, Brasilian, Swedish/Greek) and getting strange looks from the locals......

Teach, Learn, Share

Ummmmm................I can tell you a thing or two about history: from why the CCP was victorious in 1949, to why it is that the notion of a historical 'fact' is perhaps a little less clear than first meets the eye.

I'm also more than happy to swap travel stories, and give travel advice on any of the countries I've been to.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, China, Cuba, Egypt, Fiji, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Italy, Japan, Namibia, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Peru, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
