I love to learn, love and share knowledge. I like to remain happy and overcome problems that handcuff many people.

ABOUT ME

I am a non-violent, non-judgemental, vegetarian. I feel like I have lived a blessed life. I don't have anything on my "bucket list". I lost my wife when my daughters were very young and I lost my youngest daughter two years ago to a terrible traffic accident. I have finally recovered my equilibrium and I enjoy traveling, playing golf, soccer, hiking etc. I have a very accomplished history of achievement, including, swimming, baton twirling, baseball, countercultural involvement, education, etc. I lived in Milano for five years in the 70's and have traveled all over. I could go on and on but then there would be less to share if you ever visit Humboldt Co...lol..

With an open mind...I am a new member so I'm not sure how to answer this quite yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We started the first Community Swichboard in the US (in San Diego) in 1969...I've been hosted by more than a few wonderfull people in my traveles when I was younger. For example, Gian Maria Volonte gave us (International Alternative Press) his villa in Milano for 2 years while he was busy in film so that we could teach Italians from all over Italy how to produce countercultural periodicals for their communities...Branko Segota (Serbia's best rock and roll guitarist) hosted me for a month while we traveled throughout Yugoslavia giving free concerts in the smaller towns...In Helsinki, my friend's father, who had Parkinson's disease, gave us his Land Rover for a month to tour the country...I maybe have 10 more stories like that...People can be so wonderful and I enjoy giving back...

Interests

Reggae, Cambodia, alternative medicine, science, non-combative sport, learning, helping, Buddha, Obama,...ad nauseum...lol...I could go on and on...
