I am a humble world citizen. An eclectic, thoughtful, 24-year old gay male with a love of German literature, good wine, beer, music and good friends. Traveling is my utmost passion, I love being in a new place.

ABOUT ME

.. I love my dog Buddy, coffee so strong it hurts, jazz, red wine, cooking, road trips, really good cigars, butternut squash, intense discussions, shrimp, German literature, Belgian surrealist paintings, people-watching, mint chip gelato, smoky autumn Tuesdays, board games, fuji apples, good friends, micro-brewed stouts and porters, getting lost, sand, Volkswagens, airplane food, awesome music, foreign films, rainy days, hookah and whatever else happens to strike my fancy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to stay with someone who is gay-friendly and willing to possibly show me around a little bit. In return, I am more than willing to cook for you and clean up a little around the house to earn my keep. I hate feeling like a total freeloader, and I hope we can both get something out of the couch surfing experience.

.. I am in love with Letters to a Young Poet by Rainier Maria Rilke. Read it, it will change your life. Also, I like The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, Shakespeare (except Measure for Measure, eew), Civilization and its Discontents by Sigmund Freud, Heldenplatz by Thomas Bernhard, New Rules by Bill Maher, and Man Without A Country by Kurt Vonnegut. Ok, anything by Kurt Vonnegut. Or Flannery O'Conner....as far as music goes...my tastes are too varied to mention, but my all tiem favorite artists are The White Stripes, Jason Mraz, James Morrison, Colbie Caillat, John Mayer, Duffy, Adele, etc....

Hmm....I left my homeland and grew as a person. That may not seem so amazing to some, but it's much more than many of my American counterparts can claim to have done. Oh, and I was almost blown up in London in July of 2005. I guess that's about it. :)
