ABOUT ME

I'm a fairly versatile person, I love hanging out with friends and partying as well as spendig time by myself with a good book/movie. I'm always up for a good hike, a picnic, a spontaneous daytrip or a new museum.

At the first contact I tend to be rather reserved, but believe me, still water runs deep. According to my friends I'm highly energetic, crazy and inspiring.

At the moment I'm not able to host, but I hope to do so soon when I have a bigger appartment.

I was hosted several times so far, which were always wonderful and life-enhancing experiences!

LANGUAGES:
I try to maintain my knowledge of English and French, and I would like to learn Spanish as soon as possible.

SPORTS:
I totally love running, I go for a run several times a week and finished a marathon recently.
I also enjoy, but not on a regular basis, swimming, hiking, biking and rock-climbing.

COOKING and BAKING:
I adore baking, I'm trying to make a different cake every weekend. Recently I started to brush up my cooking skills as well.

OTHERS:
I like going to the theater and all kind of museums.
Generally I'm very much interested in history, politics and biomedical research (particularly neurosciences).

BOOKS:
I'm spending a lot of time with reading. Some of my favorite writers are Jonathan Coe, Juli Zeh and Ian McEwan.

MOVIES and TV-SHOWS:
Best Movies: "Once Upon A Time In America", "A Clockwork Orange", "Butterfly And Diving Bell" "A Prophet", "Mary and Max" and "Waltz With Bashir".
I adore going to small movie theaters, it's so different from watching DVDs at home. So I go there quite often. I really like sneak previews, even if you risk to end on some very bad movie, the suprise effect clearly outnumbers this for me!
I also spend a lot of time watching TV-Shows. My favorites are Six Feet Under, Mad Men and Modern Family.

MUSIC:
There are to much singers and groups which I like, so to name just a few:
Regina Spektor, Arab Strap, I Am Kloot, Franz Ferdinand, The Dresden Dolls, The National,...
I'm mostly listening to German/American Rock, Pop and Singer/Songwriter.
