About Me
I'm not easygoing, open minded and all other things I read in all profiles. I am as I am, that's it. So:
- I usually have many requests: before sending one, upload at least a picture
- send a request, not a message
- if I accept you, please don't wait till the last day to confirm it. It's nice and efficient to have a fast answer, to me as to you
- bring your own towel and sleeping bag or blanket, and don't tell me you can sleep on the floor: I prefer to decline rather having complaints...
- there's free roaming in Europe, nowadays. Please, invest in a SIM card and don't hope in a free wifi to communicate, you could save a lot with a small cost and use it in all the 27 countries.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's the best way to meet people in the place you're visiting, which allows to understand much better where you are and the possibilities the trip you're doing can offer you.
And till now, it's been a great idea!
Interests
Photography: that's a good reason to travel. The dilemma is how much stuff carrying with me every time....
Food (not only from Italy, it's a good reason to appreciate Mediterranean countries and south east Asia) and wine (ok, mainly from Italy.... mainly from Friuli Venezia Giulia...)
IT (if possible not when I'm at work)
Traveling (ok, that's trivial...)
- animals
- wildlife

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Italian and international, pretty hard to make a top 10. Always been a fan of Fabrizio de Andrè, '70s rock groups, some local traditional music like Portuguese fado, and much more. Sometimes a disc is a good souvenir from a far away country.
Books: any gender, usually about countries where I've been or I'm planning to go, historical monographies, or whatever interesting I find in bookshops.
Movies: all what I find, not a sharp selection.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Indonesia was my favourite trip, expecially Borneo, traveling by boat in the jungle among tropical animals. Without any chance to book a bed on internet, of course!
A great experience, I wish to repeat one day...
Other great places to visit I definitely recommend are Dancalia in Ethiopia, Semuc Champey in Guatemala, and Friuli Venezia Giulia (mainly if you like wine and food).
The best thing to see is nature, wildlife, animals from Tropics to Arctic Ocean.
And, why not, all non officially recognized countries in the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Not much (other hosts are better, I know it!). I can share my couch, a cup of tea and some of my time, but not much. I work outside the city, so I usually meet my guests at late evening, to leave them at early morning.
Free walking tours by night are included. Mainly if I need to walk after dinner.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Experiences, impressions, ideas, time.
And, above all, Italian cooking.
If I'm not tired: it happens when you're traveling, and usually hosts have more energy than me. Of course, they're just working!
