Hopefully, I am going to publish my first book

ABOUT ME

I think I am a citizen of the world. Even if I was born in Italy, I have always been traveling across Europe. Since I was 18, I've started living abroad: Erasmus in Copenhagen, student in Kaunas and Vilnius thank Phd in Kaunas. I am working as a teacher of Lithuanian Historiography at the University of Vytautas Magnus in Kaunas. I also teach Italian here and at the International Society "Dante Alighieri". In summer I am working as a tourist guide in the Baltic and Scandinavia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted some very interesting person and I think it is always a very nice, useful and instructive experience to meet someone from a different country.

I am also traveling a lot for work and for this reason I had the opportunity to be hosted by other surfers: everyone has his story and something interesting to show.

Interests

I really like to know about local tradition (of the present but also, in proper sense about traditional life). I am also very keen in learning languages (after having been learning Lithuanian nothing seams impossible!). I really like cinema (the good one) and hate TV. Good cinema for me is Bertolucci, Kaurismäki, Kiarostami, Olmi, Veit Helmer, Miyazaki and Kurosawa

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have married a Lithuanian woman and now we have two beautiful children! This changed my life in every sense.
I become a Lecturer at university... in Lithuania.... still I cannot believe I achieved this result!
I will never forget when I first traveled across the natural beauties of Norway and Finland: northern lands are calling me and I cannot stay far from them

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a teacher of Italian language and history (historiography) and I can obviously teach Italian and maybe a bit of Lithuanian to those coming to my place.
I am also a tourist guide - ask about the Baltic and I will tell!
Last but not least... I can teach you some great receipt of the Italian cuisine: the success is guarantee!
