ABOUT ME

I am a fairly well traveled person with a sometimes offbeat sense of humor but am able to make anyone laugh and have a good time. I enjoy new places and meeting new people from all walks of life and from around the world. I am currently trying to learn German, then Gaelic, and finally French. Not hard to please and I never expect more than just respect as a person. I am honest to a fault and will speak my mind(must be the German in me). I will try almost anything once and if I like it will do it again and again. My favorite alcoholic beverages are Guinness and a bottle of a good single malt scotch....of course water is my number 1 favorite drink. In '07 I spent 2 1/2 months in Europe backpacking and was that ever the greatest time of my life! Will be going back for much more. Love the outdoors and all that nature has to give in all seasons. The only hard and fast rule that I follow is the "Golden Rule". It has served me well so far and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live and the Golden Rule pretty much covers it. I do not lump anything or anyone into a stereo-type...never have, never will.

So far, I have only offered my couch but I just discovered the volunteer side of CS and am now giving that some serious thought.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing on purpose so far but had a taste of CS in Munich when I was there. Great people in this program that is a fact.

Like most all types of music with exception of rap and hip hop. I can tolerate country western if I have too. Irish trad and the bagpipes are fantastic as well as techno and trance.

I woould have to say that the most amazing thing that I have experienced to date is not only being ther for the conception of my daughter, but when she took her first breath and cried for the first time. I know, kind of lame, but I feel that there is no greate feeling than to be a part of bringing a new life onto this great planet of ours. And then to teach them to be caretakers of the same planet.

I can fix about anything put in front of me. A little weak on computer skills but I am never to old to learn. Would be more than willing too teach anyone what I know and actually I have tutored a few people in my work, which is am auto mechanic.
