About Me
Hello! My name is Morgan, and I am studying abroad in Madrid for the semester. My major is Risk Management, which is kind of like studying insurance (to put it very simply), but for now I'm enjoying a light semester learning about Spain in my art history class and taking other electives. I love sports, and I play both football and American football back home. Last year, my team was #1 in Philadelphia for our coed intramural league! Growing up in a rural area gave me a love for the outdoors, and I'm looking forward to finding some hiking trails on my adventures throughout Europe. And I like to draw, sometimes all over myself, so that's kind of cool I guess.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel, but since my last phone call with my mother concerning recent credit card bills, all future visits will have to be on a budget, which brought me to this site. I've had a lot of friends talk about their positive experiences couch surfing, so I decided to give it a go.
Unfortunately, my apartment is tiny and the landlords are strict, but I would consider hosting guests in the future, even once I get back in the USA.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read The Great Gatsby every year, but my all time favorites have got to be the Harry Potter series. And I like just about everything when it comes to movies and music, but superhero movies and Beyoncé will always have a special place in my heart.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When in Casablanca, my friends and I crashed a Moroccan wedding and danced with the bride and groom.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think the great part about sites like this is that you can learn a whole lot about another kind of culture. My family is from what is essentially 'farmville' (Ever heard of the Amish? Yeah, that's where I grew up), but I went to school in the biggest city in my state. Moving to Madrid was an even bigger lifestyle change, and I would love to learn more about the cultures of people I visit, and to share mine as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Many, many stories and a love of adventure. Somehow, I always seem to get into interesting and unparalleled situations.
Over the last few months, I've done more traveling, eating, and exploring than I ever had before in my whole life. I definitely have some good times to share.
