About Me

I'm just here to experience the world around me as much as i can and I'm going to keep going in that direction at warp speed for the foreseeable future.
This has meant anything from pagan festivals, white water rapids, gaming conventions, nudist resorts, mountain biking, skydiving, rock climbing, surfing, jungle trekking. I want to keep exploring and trying new things. I've only been to 9 countries at this point and I consider that a FAIL. I want to travel the world and I'm obsessed with Scuba Diving so I left NYC to do just that. Living in Hawaii at the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, most of these "extreme" things I've done have always been far easier than simply talking to new people. Asking/needing help from even a close friend let alone a stranger also makes me uncomfortable, but my perspectives are changing and this seems like the right place to be for that. It's crazy to me that the more I open up to the world, the more amazing things, people, and opportunities find me. I want to meet and talk to everyone, hear their tales, exchange knowledge, keep changing perspectives, and take every opportunity to make a new friend!

Unfortunately I don't have a home right now...in a good way! Traveling full time...but when I find my paradise I will most definitely share!

Interests

All kinds of art and design, the ocean, puppies, fitness, playing sports, nonstop adventures

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer anecdotes to lists:

Hotel California has been playing during some of the best moments of my life, most recently being played by a sitar and xylophone at a street fair in Thailand when I had just had found the ice cream I had been looking for my whole trip.

You couldn't get into the premiere of Zombie Land in NYC unless you were a zombie. Being a SFX artist, my friends and I looked pretty top notch. I was picked out of the crowd and escorted into a red carpet media frenzy to try to eat the actual Woody Harrelson, which ended up in People Magazine. He then sat and watched the movie with us, looking really uncomfortable with a theater full of zombies.

I got back into reading after a long hiatus by deleting all the mind numbing games off my phone and committing myself to only reading on my daily commutes. I was having really hard time adjusting to a new job that just didn't feel right when I started reading the Dark Tower series. I've never been so freaked out in my whole life when I realized...I WAS WORKING IN THE DARK TOWER (Dag Hammarskjold Plaza)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wake up every morning amazed that I left everything I knew in search of something better. Every day is a new beginning.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach people to scuba dive and introduce them to a whole new world.
Fashion Designer/Graphic Designer by trade, but have dabbled in all kinds of art & design, including special fx makeup and animation. I could teach anything in Photoshop/Illustrator.
I want to learn literally everything....so focusing is the hard part.
It would be very helpful to actually learn a languages or two.
