About Me

Hi there! I'm from a beautiful place called the Whitsundays, which is smack bang in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef - off the Queensland coastline of Australia.

Right now my home is in Brisbane, however, I'm currently travelling the world filming a documentary of rhino poaching. The aim is to visit nearly 20 countries in a year to find out as much as I can about the poaching crisis which is devastating rhino populations around the world.

My partner (a cinematographer) and I are easy going people who love to learn about the local culture and the best places to visit for tourists. We do not care for a 5 star room/house - as long as we have a roof over our heads, a safe place for us and our bags we are happy!

I first used couch surfing (with a friend) when I backpacked around Europe a few years ago and had some amazing experiences with our hosts. We look forward to meeting and getting to know you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now, my partner and I are filming an independent documentary on rhino poaching with the aim of visiting nearly 20 countries in a year. Because we are such a small team and our film was 100% crowdfunded our budget is very, very tight so what better way to save money and meet awesome people than couch surfing!

As I mentioned in the 'About Me' section, my partner and I are incredibly easy going and love nothing more than to explore new places and drink some local beer! We look forward to meeting you :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hands down the craziest thing I have done is completely leave my life in Australia behind to make my first ever feature documentary on rhino poaching!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've done a lot of travelling myself over the years and always love to sit back and share those stories. Likewise, meeting people and hearing their stories is just as great! We've also had some crazy adventures while filming this documentary which at the time was pretty serious but now we can sit back and laugh about it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Mozambique, Netherlands, South Africa, Swaziland, United Kingdom, United States
