Resumen
Sobre mí
I am freshly-graduated and living in Paris working as an English language assistant in a lycée. I'm trying to figure out where I want to go in my life, so figured I'd start by seeing the world a bit. I'm a Colorado girl through and through, so I like beer, mountains, coffee, skiing, etc. I am friendly and out-going, but I do not equate travelling with partying. I much prefer a bottle of wine and good conversation to a vodka-drenched rager. That being said, I am open to many different kinds of lives and experiences. There are lots of ways to have fun and play and explore.
I am a feminist.
My philosophy in life is still evolving (I am yet a young grasshopper). But if I could boil it down to one word......COMPASSION.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
This is my first time couchsurfing ever (well at least through the website)! I have loads of friends who have traveled the world this way and have had amazing experiences. In my last home, we had an open door policy so our couch was often occupied by people coming in and out of town, passing through. I really love meeting new people and hearing their stories and I understand how special it is to open up your home to a stranger. Trust is essential to this kind of exchange, for both the host and the guest.
I see travel as an opportunity to see into other people's worlds, so I prefer the vantage point of someone's couch to a lonely hotel room (which my wallet couldn't handle anyway). It's a much more authentic way to see how other people live their lives.*
*This does not mean that I need to be taken care of or whisked around to see the sites. I would greatly appreciate any time spent together, but I also don't want to be a nuisance.
Lastly, I want to "see the world." But I am not interested in fulfilling my American stereotype of hopping between European cities, spending money, getting drunk, and going to museums. I love art, architecture, and drinking, but not like that. I AM LOOKING FOR AUTHENTICITY!

I just learned to crochet, so I can teach you!
I like to sing and would love to learn any new instrument or be introduced to new music.
I am a big believer in book sharing, so if you are interested I can bring some books that I've read to pass along to you.
If you know anything about: bicycles, pickling, gardening, juggling, or swing dance please let me know. These are things I want to learn.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
My quick sense of humor and my friendly demeanor. Also chocolate. And books. And if you're super nice and give me enough advanced notice, I'll crochet you a hat.
