Sometimes, it breaks my heart to think of all the people I'll never know. The paths I'll never cross, and the stories I'll never get the chance to hear. I try to use every chance I get to make up for that. People are just such infinitely intriguing creatures.

Though witnessing Mt. Fuji was humbling beyond words, the most amazing thing I ever experienced was, hands-down, being in love. I think it's easily the bravest, most excruciating, and utterly beautiful thing any of us could ever possibly endeavour. To render ourselves so vulnerable to another with so very much at stake. Considering the intractably fleeting nature of this existence, I think it's all well worth the risk.
