About Me
CURRENT MISSION
From ongoing survival to life over work
ABOUT ME
I write (so I must be a writer) because I can't sleep (so I must be an insomniac). Communist, anarchist. Half-Southern American, half-Italian. Incorrigibly charming and cripplingly alien in turn. In New York they said I had morbo. In Mexico they thought I was a vampire.
I was in Mexico City when my cousin died, so I came back to New Orleans. Couldn't afford to get back to Mexico, so now I'm living here. I drive a rickshaw in the Quarter for bread, as I publish pay-nothing freelance articles and self-study philosophy, literature, and politics.
PHILOSOPHY
Spontaneity and variety! autonomy and independence! self-determination and direct action!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosted people in Harlem. I have such a low "response" rate because we always used my roommate's account.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Limited though quickly expanding. Hosted "couchsurfers" with roommates. Considering opening an international boarding house.
Interests
Fiction, poetry, philosophy, radical politics, art, poker, chess, conversation, hustling.
I used to love to dance but I lost it when I moved to New York.

Music, Movies, and Books
Reading Anti-Oedipus by Deleuze/Guattari. Going back to Apollinaire. Going back to an anthology of Autonomia writings.
I don't watch television, and I seldom watch movies. But with my uncle I do watch some of the Italian shows on PBS, and an occasional movie or two from the public library.
These days I'm listening to old prison songs, e.g. "Early in the Mornin'", classical music, e.g. Beethoven's Great Fugue for string quartet, and funk rock, e.g. The Lafayette Afro-Rock Band.
