Overview
About Me
I'm 27, and was working as a a mobility advisor in a non-profit organization for 3 years. I was leaving in Nice, South of France, for the last 2 years.
My job is tutoring youngsters and support them in their international mobility projects (I send them abroad). I manage european projects and I organize linguistic, cultural and intercultural workshops. This job is a mix of career counsellor, non-formal teacher and project manager.
This is an extremely rich job, because each youngster I work with has its own story and travel goals, and I help them go for it, organize it with them, and that makes me travel all the time, in my mind with them, and for real because I often have the occasion to go abroad and meet the european organizations I send the youngsters to.
Obviously, if I work in this area, it is because I love travels, and I believe travelling is a fantastic way to learn about everything. I strongly believe in volunteering also, being for a short period or as a way of life.
I am currently travelling through South America with a friend, we started in january 2016 and we'll be travelling for at least a year!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet new people in the places I'm travelling in :)
I used to host a lot of people at my place in Nice, South of France, even though it wasn't through couch surfing.
I think it's great when you travel somewhere to be hosted by local people who can share with you what they like about hteir city, their country!
It's a good way to meet new friends, outside the tourisitic circle.
And also, let's be honest, I'm travelling on a budget and accomodation is one of the most expensive fee when you travel, that's why I really do love the concept of couch surfing too! It is a mutual benefit for people willing to share.
