Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually do AirBnB, but I think there is another kind of community spirit on couchsurfing. There is something special about people opening their home, not for profit but in order to contribute to global mobility and cultural exchange.

Music, Movies, and Books

Balzac, Stendhal and Zola are my French favorite. The Idiot by Dostoevsky is my all-time favorite, War and Peace by Tolstoy, Catch-22 by Heller and The Possessed by Dostoevsky are the books that are always in my mind.

I listen to Chopin and Nick Cave to relax, but I'm not a big music expert.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I graduated, I wanted one thing: to go to Russia, which fascinates me. There was no job opportunities that would allow me to do that. So I turned down really safe job offers in Western Europe, moved to Moscow and became a freelancer focusing on Arctic affairs - which I have been for the past year. It's been a hard but amazing year, and I will never regret having done that.

Also, last week I made my own paleo bread from scratch and it was delicious.
