I discovered CS when I went in Australia. I spent one year travelling around the country and CS was a great way to meet locals and discover good places to go!
I also did WOOFING, not exactly the same, but same spirit

May be "dormir à la belle étoile" (sleeping under the star) in the Sahara desert. It was great
