About Me

Hey I'm Morgane !

In January 2020 I left my beautiful Switzerland and quit my old 9-5 boring job to live the dream of going on a world trip with Yannick, my partner in crime.
Long story short, we became digital nomads and never made it back to Switzerland 😂

We created our Couchsurfing profile a while ago, but we really started using it more during our time in Latin America. We’ve had a handful of great CS experiences so far, and every time it reminded us how special it is to connect with locals while traveling.

Because we work remotely, our schedule can sometimes be a bit intense. We’re also passionate about photography, which often means early mornings chasing the best light for sunrise. So we can’t always be the guests who stay up late or spend the whole day hanging out. But whenever our schedule allows it, we truly enjoy sharing time with our hosts, exchanging travel stories, discovering local spots, or simply sharing a meal.

When we travel at a slower pace, Couchsurfing is one of our favorite ways to experience a place beyond the tourist side, connect with people who live there and make new friendships in all the countries we visit to be able to host as many of you when we will settle down in the country we will have a crush for.

We’re easygoing, respectful, and curious travelers, always happy to share stories, cook something, or exchange tips from the places we’ve explored.

Looking forward to meeting new people and creating meaningful travel memories along the way !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We want to meet new people, make new friendships everywhere we go, discover new cultures, share adventures, create memories together, learn about the local food and how to prepare it, and we love telling these stories to our families everytime we go back to Switzerland.

Music, Movies, and Books

Almost all kind of music, except heavy metal/hard rock.
The only books we can remember reading in the past years are the lonely planet and the routard to organize our travels 😅
There are so many great movies, but we're more into Netflix to kill time in long buses rides.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Only one ?
That won't be possible, if you're a traveler there's at LEAST one extraordinary adventure in every country you go !

Here is a short list of our - let's say - top 10 :

Watching the sunrise above Angkor Wat in Cambodia,
Admiring a wild Elephant in Thailand, Watch hundreds air balloons rising up over the love Valley in Cappadocia Turkey,
Releasing baby turtles in Mexico,
Grey whales watching in Baja California Mexico,
Diving in a cenote in a Cenote in Tulum Mexico,
Hiking and spend the night on volcano Acatenango to watch volcano Fuego erupting every 5 minutes in Antigua Guatemala,
Humpback whale watching in Juanchaco Colombia,
Going on top of the Machu Picchu, our so far favorite wonder of the world in Peru,
Discovering the biggest salt desert of the world during rainy season in Uyuni Bolivia,
Watching the unique Perito Moreno glacier in El Calafate Argentina,
Heading to the end of the world in Ushuaia Argentina,
Being able to see both sides of the waterfalls of Iguazu in Argentina AND Brazil,
Living the Carnival of Rio in the Sambodrome in Brazil,
Sky diving in Playa del Carmen Mexico
Diving with tresher sharks in the Philippines,
Swimming with dolphins in Indonesia,
Meeting the last flower men in the Mentawai,
Encounter the Komodo dragon in Indonesia,
Watch the sunrise over Bagan in Myanmar,
Visit Sri Lanka and its wild elephants with our own tuktuk,
...

That definitely makes more than 10 ahahah 😂

Teach, Learn, Share

We both are french native speakers, I speak fluent English and we both are learning Spanish, we'll be glad to teach you a little bit of these languages.
We could give you tips on how to travel for a long time and be as close as possible to the local people to be able to live real experiences full of humanity off the beaten tracks.
We would love to make you taste some typical Swiss dishes but our products are hard to find, we don't export much so finding swiss wine, specific cheese for a fondue or raclette are almost impossible, but make sure to give it a try if you ever visit our country, you clearly won't be disappointed ;-) Although we can cook great pasta !
We're also always excited to learn new things and share as much as possible regarding our culture, our travels, experiences, etc. that's why traveling is made for, giving, sharing and caring, right ?
