About Me
(Spanish below/español abajo)
Hi! My name is Morgan, an 18 year old boy who is savouring a year of freedom before going to university in September back in the UK, where I am from. I am excited to be travelling the beautiful land of Latin America for the first half of 2016! People have told me if I were an animal I would be a puppy. I like to think that implies youthful enthusiasm, intense curiosity, and an enjoyment of life's sensual pleasures. I like to see, feel, and speak to as much as possible - and hope to leave a world with more love and happiness for everyone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS is a unique way of travelling by meeting truly unique people. To be able to make friends and enjoy local experience is great fun.
Interests
1. Trying to find unexpected beauty in things both big and small
2. Food (although I can't cook)
3. Learning Spanish (although I'm no linguist)
4. Football (although I can't play for my life)
5. Reading (although my writing is rarely pretty)
6. The party (although I can't dance)
However, I do play piano (jazz) and it increases my already massive love for music.
Finally, politics which is an interest in which everyone can take part!

Music, Movies, and Books
I use many types of music to fit my emotional craving at any given moment. This means my iPod ranges from Thelonious Monk to Talk Heads to Ugly Duckling to Bach. Although one of the greatest loves of my life is jazz music (listening, playing - everything!).
I want to read a thousand books a day but there never seems to be the time. However I have enjoyed so far authors such as Hemmingway, Wilde, Bukowski, Kafka, Orwell and many more.
For movies (or 'films as we say in the UK), I love the unpredictable and unusual! From the classics such as Pulp Fiction or the Godfather, to low budget subtlety such as Uzak (distant) or Troll Hunter.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It is hard to pick something I have seen (because of how often people amaze me and due to my terrible memory), and I don't like to call anything I do amazing. However if I had to choose, I would say I am proud of my time spent working in Valencia, Spain only a few months after finishing school, as it was hugely challenging for both my Spanish skills and general levels of maturity!
Teach, Learn, Share
I suppose I believe in never being certain of any belief, to always challenge and to learn from anywhere & anyone.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Whatever they want! Lots of people seem to enjoy practising they English if it's not your native language which I am always happy to do. We can cook together, drink together, lose our minds together and hopefully laugh together! And of course when I am back home you will always be welcome to surf on my couch!
