Overview
About Me
I'm from BC Canada and have lived here my whole life. I have travelled around a bit, mostly in Europe (lived and worked in Germany for 2 months) and recently went to New Zealand. I love to travel and learn new things. I have a a lot of hobbies that keep me busy including piano playing, ukulele, writing, cooking, skiing, wine and have recently become a beekeeper ( I only have two hives so I'm unsure how much of a beekeeper that makes me. But I keep them around!). I completed culinary school and right after I worked in a restaurant in Germany for some time. I also opened my Woodfire Pizza Foodtruck after culinary school. I run my food truck in the summers and it is a lot of work but also a lot of fun. Right now I am back in University pursuing an Arts Degree that I am unsure what I will do with, but I love learning and I am thinking of becoming a teacher. I spend a lot of time skiing in the winters and trade that out for a motorcycle in the summers. I really just want to enjoy life and learn and do as much as I can, with the short time I am on this earth!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet new people and get the locals view on their city. I love travelling to places I know people in, it is always so much more enjoyable seeing a new place through a locals perspective. I also love to make new friends and hear other peoples stories, without a community and friends what are we? I am not looking for a free place to stay, I am looking for new experience. My parents have always been very welcoming people and I felt like I would always come home from school to meet some new person staying with us or over for dinner! I don't have the means to host anyone at the moment, but I hope to as soon as I do! I really love the idea of couch surfing and the community it fosters!
Interests
I love food and cooking, and new culinary experiences. I have been learning piano and just earned my level 5 in the Royal Conservatory and I am working on level 6 this year. I recently learnt how to use a new keyboard called Colemak which is really useful. I have my level 2 WSET which is a wine course that trains sommeliers. I feel like I said a lot of this up top!
