About Me

When I was nineteen I started studies like everyone else but during the winter break, I decided to visit my friend in the UK for a month or two... and thats how it all started :P
After living almost 5 years in Plymouth, traveling around Europe and Latin America in the meantime, I decided to quit my job and hit the road again.
My trip to Oceania, planned for 3 months took me almost 3 years... and that taught me to never plan anything any more as life has its own plans for you anyway ;)
It's good to have goals though!
I love hitchhiking, hiking and getting lost then trying to find my way out but while taking time... and as long as I don't carry a bloody heavy backpack!
If u want to visit me or just meet up feel free to drop a line. See also my HC profile for comments/references - same member name.

One of my favorite food for thought's;

"To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk being called sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk being called naive.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair, and to try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, and becomes nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave, he's forfeited his freedom.
Only the person who risks is truly free."
