About Me

I've lived in the same place for 30 years, but also love some mild adventure. I love cats and gardening. I know a decent amount about gardening, herbs, cooking, composting, nutrition / diet, yoga (esp. restorative yoga), Contra dancing, biking for transportation..... I'm sure there is much more that I'm forgetting. I have diverse interests and viewpoints. When I travel, I like to visit science museums, interesting bike infrastructure (Vancouver's is awesome, much better than home!), beaches, gardens, and natural places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to use couchsurfing as a possible alternative for places to stay (in addition to airbnb, youth hostels, and hotels). At the moment I don't have any trips planned, but am considering traveling to The Netherlands and/or Ecaudor in the next year.

I am vegan, and generally eat a healthy whole food diet. I'd be happy to cook for hosts, and happy to share knowledge as well as food, although, of course this is optional -- only if you are interested! I cook pretty simple food but really very much enjoy food.

I'm sorry I don't have space to host well where I live -- I think I would enjoy hosting!

I have good references on airbnb -- I think you can see them here: https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/8820701

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swim in the open ocean off of Bimini (in the Bahamas. That sounds MUCH more exotic than if I say "just off of Florida" -- but that is also accurate!) -- snorkeling there -- gorgeous turquoise water and amazing fish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking, gardening, how to grow sprouts and microgreens at home, lots about health care and natural remedies.
