About Me

Hey you out there!

I am Mo. Actually Moritz but please call me Mo. I am a law student at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and just finished my second year. My dream is to specify in international law or human rights in order to play my part in improving this world.

But I am not only a law student but also an outgoing person. I love to go out, search for hidden places in new cities and learn about new cultures. My favorite trips so far where my trip to Cuba in 2015 and to Thailand, Cambodia in 2016. Like every backpacker and dreamer I love to speak about travel stories. There might be some that you want to here: How I learned Salsa on a privat cuban birthday party in Havanna, how I was invited to a highschool-alumni-meeting of 50+ year old Thais in Chang Mai.

I am based in Hamburg, which we the people from Hamburg call the most beautiful city in world. That might be true but I am open for you to show me the beauty of your city. Perhaps your city will beat Hamburg. Let's try.
Here in Hamburg I do my studies, go out on the Reeperbahn (the famous bar and clubbing street in Hamburg) and I do my favorite sport: cheerleading. You might now say that this is a girl sport but I can prove it is not. The only thing I do as a man is throwing girls up in the air and make sure they do not fall on the ground. This creates a team spirit and that is what I most like about that sport: you trust each other!

I hope you now have a clue of who I am. If you have any question, just hit me up!

best regards,
Mo

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just created my Couchsurfing account because I arrived in this amazing city: Sydney. I am here because I will attend an internship at the Amnesty International office here in Sydney, which is like the greatest chance for me and makes me super happy! However as this city is very expensive I do not have the money to finance my staying in a hostel for the whole period. Therefor I am looking for a place to stay. Not for the full period but perhaps for a few days.

Moreover I would like to meet some locals to hang out in the afternoon, learn new things and find out more about Australia and Sydney. This would make my stay here much more interesting and eventfully!!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is Imagine Dragons and I literally love the new album, while the first one is still the best. However I also like music from the Passenger or Mumford and Sons.

I am into Star Wars, but also like movies like The Fault in our Stars. The next one I would like to see is Valeraian.

My favorite book is Papertowns of John Green. It is so good, that I had to give it to a cuban girl who hosted me and my friend in Havanna as a present, while underlining the best parts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did not always want to be a lawyer but when I was at the age of 16 I wanted to be an actor. I worked hard and took lesson, went to castings and finally got enrolled in a prime time movie. To stress that: acting was a hobby as other people play tennis or golf and go to tournaments. I went to castings. This was nothing spacial but a great experience for me.
During that enrollment I fly from my home town to the south of Germany, lived in a hotel with other actors and experienced new things. In the end this was a cool experience but not more as the live off an actor is to uncertain and based on someones other decisions. Thats the reason why I am not doing it anymore but still, that movie gave me the possibility to finance all my trips.
