I'm Moritz, an 19 year old student from Essen, Germany and at the moment I live in India to do a volunteering service at a Waldorfschool. In my free time I like to do nearly every kind of sports, preferred football, climbing, badminton, running, handball and basketball. Furthermore I play the accordion, I am singer in a band and I write short stories about everything. I also use to cook for my family or do barbecuing when we are on holidays.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a student I get only a little money per month so I started searching for a cheap opportunity to travel around. When I visited an information page about Couchsurfing I was fascinated immediately because I really like meeting up with new people and doing spontaneous things. Since my own home became a bit boring I started to be an adventurer and do crazy things like free climbing along the sea or meeting with new people. So Couchsurfing is a great thing for me to live my dream.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to every kind of music which is played by real instruments, though I don't like Pop music so much because it is too commercial in my opinion. I prefer many kinds of metal excepted black metal, dark metal and that stuff, rock, especially the old rock bands from the sixties up to the nineties and oldschool hip hop.
My favourite movies are Lord of the Rings, Inception, The Hobbit and Star Wars but I also like criminal movies and thriller.
I read nearly everything what I can get, preferred books with an upper and various language.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my last holiday in South France I climbed along the coast over a part of about 500 metres in a height of six metres off the ground. It was thrilling but surely one of the greatest things I have ever done.
