Über mich

Hello everyone, I am an open hearted smiley that was lucky enough to catch the fortunate winds, blowing me to Italy. It has always been my dream to live in the Bel Paese (Italy), as I love - of course- the cities, the architecture, the landscape, the food - but most importantly, the people. I have met so many amazing people here, that I just had to be here.

So i chose Bologna, as it's quite close to my home town Munich, and also to the rest of Italy! Also, the university is great here, where i study 'global development and international cooperation' in my masters.

For me, enthusiasm, spontaneity and curiosity are the key elements of live. These attributes, taken for granted when we were young, should now be cultivated and lived in every occasion!

As Nietzsche said:
A man's maturity consists in having found again the seriousness one had as a child, at play. (!)

Or another beautiful quote:
We must remain as close to the flowers, the grass, and the butterflies as the child is who is not yet so much taller than they are. We adults, on the other hand, have outgrown them and have to lower ourselves to stoop down to them. It seems to me that the grass hates us when we confess our love for it. Whoever would partake of all good things must understand how to be small at times.

If you love being in the flow, loosing track of time and fostering your inner child once in a while, I'd love to meet you!

Interessen

Too many! I become enthusiastic very quickly for anything i touch haha. In my daily life, i love spending time with friends (and if in Germany, with family), having long discussions about everything, politics, culture, literature, you name it. I also love to read (especially German literature and long Russian 'doorstoppers' - very big books), and playing chess, backgammon.
Also everything that has to do with art (photography, going to galleries,... And I would love to get into sculpturing (i tried marble sculpturing for a few days in Kalamata, Greece)). → right now i am learning modern greek, καλημέρα, βοήθεια! → any help is very much appreciated haha
And I love the see, the blue horizon, and fishing from the rooks or a boat with a cold beer when the sun is setting. And I also like going to see theater plays and the opera (which i did every week when living in Munich and Vienna), here a bit less as there are less discounts for students.
Lastly, for sports, i do a mix of running, tennis, badminton, ping-pong, swimming and yoga, whatever knocks on the door ;)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love all italian music (1950s - today), Greek music, Spanish Guitar, Jazz,...

Big fan of Fellini's: La notte di Cabiria and many others, most recently i've seen 'the bitter tears of Petra von Kant' by Fassbinder. In the cold season, you will find me 2 times a week in some niche cinema (here in Bologna: la Cineteca)

My favorite book is Stefan Zweig's 'Brief einer Unbekannten' - (in English: 'the letter of an unknown') and many many more....

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

When i was around 20, me and a friend of mine rode our bikes 🚲 through Peloponnes in Greece for two weeks. We had the great idea to go in high summer (with tempreatures around 38 degrees), and very much underestimated the terrain, steep hills all around. The third day, after riding for the whole day, we arrived in small town by the sea, at 11 pm with (yet) no place to stay.
An old Greek women saw us, had pity with our tired faces and took us home, fed us, and gave us a spare room for the night - I'll never forget that kindness!
→ Pass it on!
