About Me

Born and raised in Germanys cold north, in a nowhere town of 20 000 people, in the heart of europes industrial middle, shaped by pine plantages, corn fields and pasture, in the midst of three cities, Hamburg, Bremen and Hannover, which however I know barely better than a tourist.

Chances brought me to Brasil, and later to Mexico. I discovered a different form of life, a different spectrum of nature and resources, a different dimension of space. A paradise. People with different realities and a different cultural heritage.
And yet deep inside me, resisting this tropical and lush abundance, the rational northern mind came back to live, questioning; life cannot be this good, this simple. It is impossible, this was not what I was taught in school.

And so I returned to the same cold northern corner of Germany, to satisfy the never ending thirst for academic prestige and knowledge. Formed over many years inside gray school buildings, to the relentless and monotonous beat of the school bell.
And yet at the same time I am waiting impatiently for this phase to pass, to return to freedeom and find a better balance between productiveness and leisure.

Another factor that made me return to Germany were immigration laws, which, after more than 70 years of publicy accessible intercontinental aviation, have still not been updated and with which an alien state repels as much as those of the society of our origin seemingly lure us back, alongside more "natural" factors like language and family. (although there is of course no such thing as something "unnatural", and institutions are just as natural as a family).
The world is undeniably divided in collectives in which human societies are organized, self-containing, uncontrollable beasts, covering every single corner of the earths surface, which they attribute themselves to, and within which they exercise their power over all humans who are within that zone, leaving no escape, no place to hide, no simple way to cross the sea...
Or do the laws actually guarantee us more freedom than they take from us...?
