ABOUT ME

This was originally the profile for just Miguel, but since July 2012 it's for Miguel and his girlfriend Yulia so that they can use it for travelling together.

Miguel was born in Mexico City, but has lived in Ireland, USA, Romania, Russia and Latvia.
He's a game programmer, he graduated top of his class from his university in the US (to see some of my school projects, visit my website, the link is on my info section), he's a member of Mensa and the International High IQ Society.
His native language is Spanish and he is also fluent in English, semi-decent in Romanian and currently learning Russian.
He likes reading, watching movies (Hitchcock, Fellini, Argento, Woody Allen...), listening to music (The Smiths, Morrissey, The Ramones, The Misfits, David Bowie, etc) and he LOVES visiting places!!

Yulia is a philology student from Siberia, Russia. She speaks Russian, English, French and is currently learning Spanish.

PHILOSOPHY

We think everyone should respect other people's ideas, and not try to impose our own.

We want to visit as many countries as possible, to see all the different cultures of the world, even obscure countries!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can't really host at the moment, since there's no space. But we are always looking forward to meeting fellow couch surfers and hang out with them!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Miguel has used couch surfing for about a year, and surfed multiple times already in Romania, Lithuania (twice), Poland, Kosovo and Serbia.

Yulia just started surfing recently and surfed beside Miguel in Serbia.

We've also met some other couch surfers in hostels and stuff, and it's always been a great experience!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Miguel beat an ex-national champion of Table Tennis one time, and he saw a shuttle launch out of sheer luck on his way to his apartment when he lived in Florida, USA.
