It’s never easy to describe one self but this is my take on me.

This is Simo, Msc in International Relations. I was born in Marrakech, Morocco and have lived in the area ever since. I do switch between Marrakech & Istanbul in the last Three years. Your boy next door is a typical Marrakchi guy who's easygoing and sociable. Always ready for a conversation and love to be around people who I can get with & a good listener. I do my best to get out of town as much as possible! My friends and I love traveling throughout the country, I haven't been able to travel as much internationally but now I look to really explore the world as much as possible.

I love FOOD and people who love to eat (Moroccan food is the best, of course), hanging out in a coffee or tea shop, photography. Road trips - being spontaneous and random!
 Walking, walking and walking, the best way to explore a new city. 
Learning new languages, cultures and listening to travel stories from other travelers.
I love aimlessly wandering a new city, often for hours or the entire day. Sometimes no plan is the best plan. For me, there is nothing like arriving to a new town or new area, where nothing is familiar and everything is different from what you know. I live for these experiences.

I welcome all honest, open, well-rounded people travelling the world living authentic lives. I also love comedy and prefer meeting new people who are outgoing with a sense of adventure, an open mind, and lots of humour.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have a strong desire to experience the area I am visiting through the lens of those who live there. There are the touristy sites that one must see, but after that is done there remains so much more that most foreigners never get to experience. I want to make a connection with the people of the country, region or city I am visiting. It can be hard to meet people, especially when you are out of your element. I think this community can help create lasting friendships with people all over the world. I look forward to showing anyone around our town as well!

I also say this platform as strong platform to volunteer and help our guests to have the best experience ever while visiting .. For me, getting in touch with a local is the best way to enjoy your trip, get some tips and also avoid a lot of scams. I wanna help visitors to explore my country in the best ways (Show them some great places, to get the best prices). Show case the Marrakech hospitality and hear peoples travel stories.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

It's not an aventure but it was the reason why i subscribed to this app. I have meet three guys from Austria in Rabat ( capital of Morocco) and they told me that they spent the worst days in Marrakesh because of some people that they tried to steal their money (At the taxi, magazines, hotels..) i decided to become a member of this network and hopefully help our guests to have some good happy memories here.

I can help people understand Arabic & Moroccan Darija better and explain a lot of grammatical stuff which might be problematic. I can recommend places to visit in my town or in the nearest region and i can accompany my guests to places of interest :)

I try to improve my English &Turkish, get the chance to practice as much as I can. I can help with Arabic and French.
