ABOUT ME

Hi Guys!
I am Raphael, 23 years young, and i am half german, half ecuadorian. At the moment, i live in the city of Quito, where i worked for 10 months as volunteer with children from poor families. I consider myself as open-minded and always interested in exciting experiences with great people! As i am very curious, i want to learn a lot - new languages, new musical instruments (maybe one day I will also learn how to fill in that kind of fill-out-fields :))

PHILOSOPHY

Basically i think that in this world everything is connected with everything and "good" and "evil" many times aren't that distant as we use to think.
As i don't want to be condemned who maybe doesn't even understand my and my thinkings i also don't want to do it to others... Live and let live.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to meet interesting and nice people from all over the world! As i will travel with little money, my first intention was finding some nice hosts, but i would also be very pleasured to host some guys myself, to give a good time to those, who decide visiting my city - no matter where it will be in 1, 10 or maybe 100 years :-)

Interesses

soccer, (beach-) volley and afterwards relaxing with a bunch of friends and some cool beers... travelling alone or with friends, getting to know people, singing, creating music, having parties or just good and profound conversations.
as well i am interested in hypnosis and ancient knowledges (shamanism), philosophy, psychology, and what concerns me a lot is the examination of politics, ethics and economy - theoretically as well as practically by getting to know cultures and their people.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

right now i am reading the "mileniums series" from the swedish author stieg larsson - exciting books!
and "anarquismo para principantes", could be translated with "anarchism for dummies" :-)

Music - Ticon, Parov Stelar, Balkan music, Elvis Crespo, Willie Colon, Bob Marley, some german rap, and some classical music...

the last good movie i've seen was "orphan", guys dont ever host little russian girls with a faible for old-fashioned clothing :-S

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

There are too many exciting moments, I don't know which to choose! Well, it is fantastic, spending that year in south america and getting to know "my country" ecuador! I saw a lot of poverty in there and it made me glad to see, how these people aren't just suffering, but also enjoying to meet friends, play football and so on. seeing that really was exciting!
On the other hand, I am still very curious about my future and i hope to be able to live in a lot of different countries...

Mhm i don't consider myself that well-educated, that i could teach that much... Well, I can teach you spanish, english and german and playing the trombone (i hope i remember everything)!
On the other hand, i would be VERY interested in learning how to play guitar and piano! and languages of course
