About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Helping those who pass by this great state, and those living within it
ABOUT ME
I'm an Americorps VISTA working in Riverton, WY, doing outreach for a homeless veterans program, originally from Massachusetts. My work days are filled with excel sheets and phone calls to strangers, and my weekends are spent buying cheap beer at the local bars. I've worked in politics, and have volunteered a lot in the few years. Helping others, and exploring different cultures are my passions, and I try my best to learn everything I can from the Shoshone and Arapaho tribes living on Wind River Reservation (which Riverton is next to).
PHILOSOPHY
Be cool and the world will be cool to you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people, and love sharing travel experiences with those who've been around. I know what it's like to be on a tight budget, so I totally want to help those who are passing through Riverton save their money for more important things like food or gas!
Interests
I'll hike when the weather isn't terrible, and I'll bring a goo book with me when I do it (and I'll read it if I feel so inclined). My book interests go from sci-fi to the history of China, American journalism, and foreign relations

Music, Movies, and Books
Down-tempo rap and ambiance are my go to jams. Nujabes, Sigur Ros, Battles, Lemon Jelly, and Helios are some of my favorites. I also enjoy some alt-pop like The Wombats and Tokyo Police Club.
I watch more TV than movies. I like Parks and Rec, 30Rock, Bojack Horseman, The West Wing and the ever so classic X-Files.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed Mt. Fuji with a blindfold! It was awesome.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach me about your culture!
Learn from me about Wyoming life, and other things Western
And let's share our love for traveling this great big place called Earth.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I've learned from the local tribes, and what life can be like on an Indian Reservation. And I can tell you what life is like here out on the West!
