About Me

Well, I’m an artist. That’s probably the main thing that defines my personality. Music is life for me. I write a lot.
I live in Moscow permanently though it’s obviously pretty tough right now. I work at the Memorial organization which is partly human rights organization but mostly we study the history of political repressions in ussr.
Travelling gives me life. I think I could travel pretty much all the time if I only had a chance. I’ve been using couch for years and I loooove meeting new people through this app, it’s just amazing.
What else do you need to know about me? Basically yeah, I’m obsessed with art, all forms of art and I could talk about it for hours. I adore literature, mostly Russian classics (I even went to uni to study it). I love having some weird deep transcendental conversations with people. I also love dark forests. I think probably the best thing about me is that I haven’t lost the ability to be surprised by things.
I also love drinking beer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that simply travelling around the country is not enough. You have to meet local people to truly experience the place. I also don't like staying at hotels or hostels. Usually I rent an apartment so that I can blend in the city and feel more like home. But now I decided to move forward - I want to live with locals, share my daily life with them.

Last summer I went on a journey around Europe on my own. I used hang outs a lot and met loads of wonderful people. I stayed with people I met on couchsurfing and from now on would never want to do it any other way.

You know I think the greatest thing that any human being can do in their life is to be free. And travelling makes me feel that way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love classic rock like The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc.
I'm one of the biggest Lana Del Rey fans you can find on this planet. I also love some other modern artists like Hozier, King Krule etc.
I love classical music, especially Sergei Rachmaninoff — his music gives me life.
I love jazz too and Billie Holiday is the most precious woman in the world for me.

One of my favorite films is The last temptation of Christ (Scorsese). I love biblical stuff you know.

My favorite writer is definitely Dostoevsky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I hitchhiked to Saint-Petersburg when I was just 15. Oh, and I saved a life of a dog when it was dying from heat.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some guitar skills maybe because I’m pretty good at guitar. Now I also play piano. What about learning some bad Russian words?
