Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To conquer the world, or at least let it conquer me.
ABOUT ME
I'm an open-minded and energetic young guy who's fascinated by this world and the people who live in it. I love experiencing and learning from new cultures and people, sharing knowledge and experiences.
I've spend the past year working as an architect in the grand city of Chicago. Now that the internship is over, my girl friend (Pernille) and I have taken time off from our studies, traveling first across The States and Canada, followed by a few months in magnificent Japan - looking for shared experiences and beauty along the way.
PHILOSOPHY
To dare is to loose one's footing for a short time. Not to dare is to loose oneself.
(Søren Kierkegaard)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the company of other people; talking, discussing, joking and laughing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first came across CS back in 2011 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I liked the idea and the atmosphere of the CS host so much that I ended up coming back to the same host several times (all in all spend no less than 2 weeks there). Since then I have met up with all kinds of good people within the CS-community all over Cambodia, China and while bicycling across The States and hosted a few times back in Denmark.
I cannot wait to do some more surfing (for the time being) and hosting (in the future when I get back home).
Interests
As most people do, I am very much interested in my friends and family, and so I spend most of my leisure in the company of these.
I am very much into sports as well, especially football (soccer), which I have played on a regular basis since I was big enough.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite movies are probably The Shawshank Redemption and The Big Lebowski.
I enjoy all sorts of music, but some of the best is The Beatles, Band of Horses and Pink Floyd. When it comes to books, I especially love East of Eden, Shantaram, The Kite Runner and The Alchemist.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen a man - who didn't have much and lived far from civilization in the desert of Rajasthan, India - open his home and welcome me, a stranger, into his family and share what little he had.
Now that is the real couchsurfing spirit.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy people, history, culture and food, and even though I am no expert, I can (or at least try to) teach and share the Danish characteristics in relation to the above mentioned. And I would love to learn and share the characteristics of other countries from people who may know them.
