ABOUT ME

I am a tree whisperer. I like to do things ex tempore and I like to spend hours by planning ahead an interesting trip or, for example, the rest of my life. I'm in a way a hippie and I like to consider myself as an artist, more accurate a writer, although nowadays I write mostly only songs (which you can check out at http://soundcloud.com/mosaiikkia). There's also the scientific side of me who's excited by how things happening in the universe can be transformed into physical models.

Interessen

I love to climb and I love to dance. Boogie woogie, lindy hop, folkeswing, salsa, ballroom dances and most recently zouk are something I have already improved in, but I'd try other dances as well. I wish I had more time. In Finland I climb mostly indoors, but I rarely travel anywhere abroad without checking out the rock climbing possibilities there.

I'm also very much into music. I play some guitar, ukulele, ocarina and harmonica, but most of all I sing. And I started to play violin some months ago - I'm very excited about it, but far from sounding pleasant ;).

Also, trees. I could discuss trees and forests forever, and I'm especially interested in how they are outside Scandinavia, since my studies didn't include so much about that.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

At the age of 17 I participated an international volunteer camp in Funäsdalen, Sweden. Three weeks of doing various tasks for a museum and meeting and hanging out with magnificent people. I guess my interest in getting to know new cultures and foreign people started from there.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can take you climbing. I'm an authorised rope work supervisor and so far haven't gotten bored with introducing the fantastic world of climbing to new people.

I know quite a lot about forests and plants - and I'm also always eager to know more.

Also, I'd love to learn some more hula hooping tricks.
