ABOUT ME
I have been teaching English for the last 10 years as a way to see the world and learn about different cultures. As of late I've decided to pursue my passions in music and food (separately).

First and foremost I love learning and I love trying new things! I love cooking and learning about cultures through their street food. I love nutrition! I also love listening to vinyl and playing guitar. I love exercising and playing ice hockey.

I have found Couchsurfing to be an excellent place for meeting new people and having authentic experiences. I’ve only ever had great experiences!

Music is everything to me. I’m a musician and I’ve been playing music in bands since I was fifteen. Currently I’m really into minimalist indie rock like Allah-Las and Wooden Shjips, but I listen to just about everything. Recently I’ve been passionately practicing drums. Let’s trade music!

Movies are arguably equally important and my favorite filmmakers are P. T. Anderson, Alejandro Inarritu and old Quentin Tarantino. Favorite actors would have to be Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams.

I read a lot of books. Currently I’m thumbing through Kitchen Confidential.

I ate live squid in Korea. Also, I had a gun pointed at me in Rio.

I would love to exchange languages! I can teach English and Chinese and I’m always happy to learn new languages.
