Hey! I am an undergraduate physics and biology student but I travel a lot, I usually stayed at hostels but now I want to try couchsurfing. I am an army brat so I moved around a lot, I have friends all over and would like to make many, many more wherever I go. I like meeting new people, chilling and having a few drinks with them. I would live it if you could show me around your city and introduce me to your friends and we can party together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

All my life I have longed for belonging but then it struck me that the world is where I belong and I have friends all over the world, I just haven't met them yet. The craving for exploring new places, cultures and making friends all over the world is what brings me to couchsurfing.

Interests

It would have been quite appropriate if my name was 'Jack' and I came from the town 'of all trades' for then it would fittingly describe my situation : Jack of all trades.

I decided to make my biggest passion Physics my career so I don't really work, I get paid for my hobby. Other than that my interests keep shifting and I haven't come across anything in my life that I have disliked.

I watch a lot of movies, TV shows and plays so I guess acting can be considered a deep interest. Otherwise I love night outs, long drives, parties, photography, food (eating :p), urban exploration, love basketball and adrenaline rush that comes with adventure sports and exploring nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock - Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Guns and Roses, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Nirvana, Mumford and Sons; basically all good old rock.

Books - I read to collect ideas and let my imagination run wild, from the Rig Veda to Agatha Christie to Jane Austen, I have read plenty diverse of books, Recent reads include: Murukami, American Gods, Dan Brown, Khaled Hosseini, White tiger. I read plenty of popular science like Hawking and Tompkins and non-fiction like Freakanomics and some autobiographies as well.

Movies - Major movie buff, I love them all : too many to list. Being an Indian yes, I do like Bollywood movies. I also like movies by Tarentino, Cohen Bros, Nolan and other mainstream movies. I watch guilty pleasure animated movies as well (Shhh! I liked frozen ).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One very particular thing would be, I backpacked across Western Europe at the age of 18. But what I consider to be the even more amazing is that I took the less beaten path by choosing to be a physicist, I do what I love and every day I make efforts towards discovering a truth about the universe, nature and god.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being an army brat, I have lived in every part of India and I can tell you a lot of about India which could be especially intriguing if you ever plan to visit India. I can also be nerdy and tell you a couple of things about physics or biology or mathematics :p I can also share with hosts all my travel experiences.

I want to learn about the people, the way of life wherever I go. I just want to blend in with the locals and enjoy a new experience.
