I am Mariann and live currently in Turku (I am originally from Hungary). I am a PhD student at the university right now with Finno-Ugric languages as my major. I write my dissertation about the Mordvin languages.
I like traveling and meeting with new people around the world, and I like to experience new things.

I like to travel and meet people around the world. In my opinion, couchsurfing is the best way to discover the world - even though I have not used it lately.

兴趣

Languages, traveling, nature, foreign cultures, reading, photography, drawing, winter sports (ice-skating, snowboarding), playing the guitar (well, mostly for myself, since I don't have time to practice it :), and things that didn't come into my mind right now.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music: mostly rock, metal, punk and the likes. Some really good rap artists as well.

Books: detective fiction and fantasy.

Movies: well, I could never watch a movie all by myself, since I get bored after some time and look for something else to do. As I think movie watching is a social activity, with friends I watch everything.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have done a lot of amazing things in my life, so it is really hard for me to pick only one. One of the most amazing things was to climb the fell of Otsamo (in Inari, Lapland), in the middle of winter just to see the frozen Lake Inari from above for a couple of minutes. It was a long and tiresome walk, but completely worth it :)
