About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figure out what I hope for and live inside of that hope - -under its roof.

ABOUT ME

I grew up on the coasts and in the mountains of Virginia and since then, I've lived in Hattiesburg, MS, Spain and Flagstaff, AZ. I love being outside and don't particularly like being in front of this screen but I try to find a balance between the two. I also love to cook and share nourishment of both body and soul with the people I care about.

PHILOSOPHY

Living is like cooking, I create my life from the world around me as I create my food from what's in my fridge. I'm limited only by my imagination and my willingness to take risks. Every once in a while you have to order pizza in but mostly it turns out delicious.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing and have heard really good things. I currently do not have a couch as I am on the road but I hope that I may bring something that enriches the lives of those whose paths I cross along the way. Likewise I hope to take something of them with me. We're all planting tiny seeds to grow the world we'd like to see around us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The home I've lived in for the past three years has always had an open door and we often had friends, tango dancers, musicians, family, lovers and always dogs in residence, sometimes, all at once. There's nothing like sitting down at a full breakfast table (both food and people) and basking in it's warmth and the wonder of the lives all around you.

Interests

Hiking, climbing, yoga, mountain biking and river running. Good food, wine and conversation. Naps in hammocks. Books in Spanish. Bluegrass and folk music.
