About Me

ABOUT ME

Being exiled from the crazy and exciting world to the pampa of southern Bavaria had one good aspect: I had to start doing things myself. Learn to improvise, think non-linear, make gold out of crap and develope humour. A teenage punk socialization does help to survive the absurdities of grown-up life, definitely....

Now I spend my working life trying to make some really good paintings. I love experimenting, having lots of time to work on a certain thing I am enthusiastic about. It's great, sort of an adventure.

Speaking about adventure, I'm a big-city type. I'd rather ride a bike in the rush hour in New York or Buenos Aires than walk alone thru a quiet lonely forest (though I like nature and try my best to be nice to it) Not only because I prefer being run over to being eaten, in fact I like noisy neighbors, honking cars, long nights out....la vida loca.

As much as I love my work, I'm not a workoholic. Strange thing, an artist insisting on weekends and vacations. But there are friends I like to hang out with, places to visit....

PHILOSOPHY

Life is much to complex for a personal philosophy on a web site. Philosophies come in big fat books and are still somehow incomplete or overrun by realities faster than I can update this profile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to travel and meet lots of nice people from all over the world. I offer my really big couch in a lively but relaxed neighborhood. I also can show people round in Hamburg, visit museums, galleries and some interesting artist run spaces for example or just go out for a coffee or a drink.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

learning so much more about a country or a city than I could ever do staying in a hostel, meeting nice and interesting people from all over the world

Interests

Art, as you might have guessed. Visiting museums, galleries and lectures.
I also like all kinds of cultural activities like theater, movies, concerts.....of course reading is the best for long grey Hamburg winters.
I am defintiely political, though in a satirical way.
In summer I undergo mutation: out all day and night, beach, sailing, cycling
