About Me
ABOUT ME
I have lived in Nantes, in Bordeaux and in Dresden (Germany). Everywhere it was a pleasure to host or meet other Couchsurfers! I'm uncomplicated and like to meet my friends and new people, to get them and their experience to know. I think the best way to do that is to drink a beer (or a cup of coffee !). Sorry for my poor english, there might eventually be some funny mistakes above :-)
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live my life the best possible way !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a member since 2009, since my travel to Finland. Thanks to my friend Orpheo who introduce me to this really nice website. I used Couchsurfing for journeys to Sweden, Finland, Spain, Scotland, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, (...) and of course France. It was always very nice. I love the idea that you share some precious moments with people you don't know, and sometimes, you will never see again. Even if you don't speak the same language (or, like me, with some problems!), you can always find a solution. I remember incredible discussions with CS, only with music, hands, drawing and a lot of laugh!
Of course at the beginning, Couchsurfing was for me a cheaper way to travelling. But it's more than that! It's always an unforgettable experience. Today, I can rent a air bnb or get a room somewhere if I want to, but if I m sending a CS request it s because I like the profil, the philosophy of the host... It s a choice to share such moments with new people. That s also the reason why I love workaway / helpx and this kind of websites.
Interests
History of arts is my passion. I have a Bachelor and I did my Master Degree in Bordeaux. I'm proud to be a "médiatrice culturelle" (I'm not sure for the translation, maybe "cultural mediator" or "cultural interpreter". It means, a person who is the intermediary between the public and a cultural object (building, architecture, painting, ....)).
It's always a pleasure to visit museum, to see various exhibitions and to explain to various public, various subjects. With this job, I will learn about such fabulous things all of my life ... !
Of course i like traveling. It was one of my dream, since I was 16 years old, to go to South America. I discovered some beautiful countries in Europe and it's not over! There are so many to see. But after my studies I decided to make a short break and to fly to Peru. It was my first "big trip" in 2015 (around Peru, Bolivia and a bit of Chile).
I enjoy reading, cooking, walking ... I'm someone independant, but my friends are very important. We meeting us very often. I think traveling alone has pros and cons. It's nice because you can do what you want when you want. Sometimes I like to be speed, to make thousand things in one day, and it can be exhausting for someone else ;-) I think it's also easier to meet people. On the other hand, it can be difficult when you want to share memories. You can show pictures to friends and family, but nobody is here with you to explain some moments...

Music, Movies, and Books
I like old movies as Hitchcock, Curtiz, Fritz Lang, Godard, Truffaut, Tati, Sergio Leone, Alain Resnais... But more recent too, like : Scorsese, Kubrick, Spielberg, Xavier Dolan, John Carpenter, Coen brothers, Burton, Jaoui, Maiwenn, Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Curtis, Miyazaki, Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan, Cédric Klapisch... But it's very difficult to make a list of my favorites ! It's the same with books and writers, i read everything (thrillers, classics, SF ...).
I love reading comics (Walking Dead, Joe Saco, Larcenet, Bilal, Sattouf ...). I'm open-minded, and I choose comics or book according to my mood.
I watch series like : Homeland, House of Cards, Breaking Bad, True Detective, Modern Family, GoT ...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My life is not so incredible !!!
But I did many beautiful and unforgettable things: 2013 hitchhiking around East Europe ; meeting slovakian nice family on the road, who hosted me 3 days ; karaoke in Budapest ; New Year in Berlin ; the biggest demonstration against Nazis in Dresden ; Rock climbing and wilderness camping in Sächsiche Schweiz ; 2015 Reading "The dark Tower" (Stephen King), in less than 2 months :-) ; 2017 incredible wedding in Mexico ; 2018 leave a great and permanent job in culture to travel around the world, trying to cross the Atlantic Ocean (but loose the mast/the mainsail and everything in the Bay of Biscay few days after the departure) ; 2019 I bought a bike in Medellín, Colombia and since May I m traveling through South America with (her name is Chica, and "she is" a second hand wonderful bicycle).
Teach, Learn, Share
As told i'd like to show the city, there are a lot of very beautiful buildings, churchs, the river, parks ... Before, we often cooked together with my roommate, Benji. I'm looking forward to meet people for others country and talk about their life in their home country.
