About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore the beauty and nature of the world and discover as many unexplored places as I can.
ABOUT ME
I am Milan Rai, an Adventure Tour Nepal tour guide. I began my career in the Nepalese tourism industry at the age of 16. After many years of working as a freelance tour and trekking guide, I pursued training in sound healing and yoga to deepen my knowledge and enhance the experiences I offer.
Born in the shadow of Mount Everest in the Solukhumbu District, I grew up walking the trekking trails of the Everest region. Engaging with trekkers and making their journeys enjoyable are some of my fondest childhood memories.
With extensive experience in remote trekking and mountain biking in Nepal, I have led trips to Dolpo, Rara, Mustang, Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, and beyond. My hobbies include theater, acting, movies, mountain biking, walking, hiking, trekking, and exploring nature.
PHILOSOPHY
I cherish freedom and liberty, both personally and politically. Traveling allows me to experience other cultures and countries, broadening my perspective and enriching my life.
PHILOSOPHY
Live as if you were to die tomorrow; learn as if you were to live forever.
ADDITIONAL OFFERINGS
In addition to guiding treks and mountain biking tours, I also offer yoga treks and sound healing sessions at my studio in Lazimpat, Kathmandu. These unique experiences combine physical adventure with mental and spiritual wellness, providing a holistic approach to exploring Nepal.
If you're looking for a reliable and enriching adventure in Nepal, feel free to reach out!
Best regards,
Milan Rai

Interests
Travel - meeting people from around the world, learning about their culture, their people, their way of life and the way they see the world. Experiencing new things, making the most of all 5 senses to appreciate everything that is new. The way that everytime I go away it prompts me to analyse my own life.
Learning new things - every day I try to learn something new. I love asking people about their lives.
Photography - I love to show the world through my pictures, there are a few people on facebook who follow my pictures religiously. These are the people who will never travel but are intrigued to see the world as it is, not through the photoshopped pictures in the glossy mags.
Teaching and inspiring - i.e. through my photos. Also trying to open peoples minds.
Trying out new things - brilliant!
Company - there is only so much of my own company that I can bear. I love being around people.
