ABOUT ME

Queer guy, engaged in spiritual ceremony (native American plus). Sophisticated and silly and serious and freaky (radical faeries are my tribe). Love experiencing cultures different from my own. See www.mountaine.info.

Interests

Spiritual ceremony, Queer connection. Playback theatre (improvisation based on audience members' true stories) - I'm a conductor/actor/musician/trainer. Facilitating intensive breathing sessions for groups and individuals, for personal growth and insight (I call it "breathwork medicine".) See www.mountaine.info. Opera and classical music plus world music and lots of other stuff, Movies and Books. Making music - I play clarinet (classical and improvised all styles) and have been called a slide whistle virtuoso - try to have one available at all times for slidey moments, especially with little kids or silly adults.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite film is probably King of Hearts (Le Roi de Coeur). But hey, difficult to choose. Love Fellini. Books? Harry Potter series comes to mind. Music? Was a Deadhead and lover of acid rock. But the opera thing kicked in when I was 14, and that's what I listen to most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not a professional singer, but sang the 1-line part of the Servant in La Traviata when I worked at Florida Grand Opera - 6 performances, 2400 people at each, sang one note (middle C). 6 syllables: "La cena e pronta." My operatic debut and farewell all in one production.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach playback theatre and lead intensive breathwork sessions. (see www.mountaine.info) Both are options when I'm traveling - it would be fun to share this with hosts.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Nepal, Thailand, United Kingdom
