Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making the most of my time on planet earth with friends, travels, and memories galore.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Alaska and recently moved back home after spending 12 years in Colorado. I quit my boring office job to study medicine and am enjoying being back in college. I enjoy hiking, meditating, reading, and hanging out with my friends and pets.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others with kindness, or at the very least strive for understanding. We are all doing the best that we can with what we've been given.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have not hosted for far too long, but am hoping to get back in the swing of things next summer once my icy mountain road is less inaccessible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had wonderful individuals stay with me and have stayed with equally wonderful individuals. Couchsurfing has enabled the expansion of my horizons, which is something I greatly appreciate.
Interests
Meeting new people and learning about where they come from and how they gained their perspective on life. I love to read, drink coffee and tea, hike, cook, sing, write, lay in the sun, soak in hot springs, go to the occasional music festival, and live la dolce vida.

Music, Movies, and Books
Good Morning Vietnam, Life is Beautiful, Mama Mia, The Sound of Music, Up!, Goodfellas, Office Space, Lord of the Rings, Into Thin Air, The Shadow of the Wind, The Historian, etc. I've both read and watched all of the Game of Thrones series (or as much of it is available to me given that the books have yet to be completed. Anyone else pissed about season 7? No??) My guilty pleasure is Harry Potter; I have read and watched the entirety of that series as well. I appreciate bluegrass, rock, indie, pop, etc...I like it all with the exception of jazz (sorry, jazz aficionados. It's just not my thing!) I'm also a vocalist and will gladly sing you a tune if you so desire.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I snorkeled amongst sea snakes, clownfish, anemones, giant clams, and in the piscine naturelle (natural aquarium) on the Isle of Pines. It was an experience that I will cherish for as long as the memory lasts, hopefully until the end of my days.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak German and could always teach you a few words and phrases. I also love to sing and cook and would gladly do one or both for you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positivity, understanding, a guided meditation or two, a friendly demeanor, delicious food, a sense of humor, and tales of travels and lands far away.
