About Me
CURRENT MISSION
trust and share
ABOUT ME
I live and work as a teacher in Toulouse (http://www.toulouse.fr/accueil), South-West France.
I haven't travelled much so far but my feet have started itching...
I am friendly (most of the time...), generous, ready to help, sensitive also, quite demanding at times...idealist with a passionate belief in justice and equality...
I'm a dreamer...
I love chocolate and tasteful coffee, good food and good wine...
I like children very much, like their ability to play anytime and their endless enthousiasm.
I enjoy being with a couple of people but I don't feel very comfortable in bigger groups...
It's always a pleasure to meet new people, whoever they are, share a meal, chat, sing, hike...
I like being independant, reading, running, cycling and travelling alone...
I also like teaching and I spend much time working for my students.
PHILOSOPHY
Trusting people...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started couchsurfing in 2008 in Sweden and Denmark and I have surfed and hosted since with delight !
I love it and I intend to keep travelling and meet people sharing the same philosophy.
In Toulouse, I keep planning to go to the bimonthly meeting but I always have some last minute work to do instead...I'll manage some day^^...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had my first couch surfing experience as a surfer in summer 2008 in Denmark and Sweden.
I planned my trip at the last minute and from day to day (which was not very polite and convenient for my hosts I must admit...)and although I was not very well organized, I found very nice, welcoming and helpful people everywhere except on the Boüshlan coast where there were no couchsurfers and where I stayed in hostels.
People I met (young or older, men, women or couples)were kind and generous and trusted me right away by giving me their key for example. I was touched by this spontaneous trust.
I think it was a very intersting and positive experience I advise anyone to try. (written in August 2008)
Since then I had further experiences, all very positive ! (see references)
Interests
I like sport (I run regularly to keep fit and I also enjoy swimming and cycling), I also like music, I'm keen on languages (I love listening to foreign languages even when I don't understand them !), I like having kids around,I enjoy meeting new people but also enjoy being by myself, blogging, reading, eating very good food and drinking good wine, chatting, both country and city life...I also like getting involved in social or political issues, supporting "paperless" people for example...

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading (mainly detective stories but also literature, any kind except fantasy) more than watching movies because the movies I make myself while reading are definitely the best !
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Helping, along with the school parents and students, one of my students' family not to be sent back to Madagascar and stay in France. They were considered as "illegal immigrant workers"...
This is the way France is now...
