Overview
About Me
Mr. Moutarou Diallo received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Institut de Formation en Administration des Affaires (IFAA) and a Master’s Degree in International Education from the SIT Graduate Institute.
During the two years Moutarou spent in the U.S., he fully embraced his role as an educator and ambassador for Senegal by visiting many middle and high schools to share his experiences with students, faculty, and staff.
Before traveling to the U.S., Moutarou has taught Wolof, French, and Pulaar in several international programs, including the Peace Corps, SIT, and CIEE. Moutarou’s professional experience in study abroad includes an internship with the International and Study Abroad programs at Fordham University; he also served as an assistant for curriculum design at Brooklyn International High School, and led a youth program for four summers, helping to organize a service learning program for the Lakeside School in Seattle. In addition to teaching French with the French Language Heritage Program at the French Embassy in New York City, Moutarou has served as an academic coach at the International Rescue Committee’s project on West African Parent Engagement in Staten Island.
After his Master in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, VT, he returned to Senegal, his home country to become a program assistant for academic & cultural services at the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) in Dakar.
During the two years Moutarou spent in the U.S., he fully embraced his role as an educator and ambassador for Senegal by visiting many colleges, universities, middle and high schools to share his experiences with students, faculty, and staff.
His professional experience in study abroad includes interning at the Study Abroad Department at Fordham University, being an assistant for curriculum design at Brooklyn International High School, and being a leader-organizer of summer youth service-learning programs for Seattle Lakeside School. Furthermore, he taught languages for Peace Corps, School for International Training (SIT), and CIEE. I also taught French with the French Language Heritage at the French Embassy in New York, and served as an academic coach for the International Rescue Committee’s project on West African Parent Engagement in Staten Island.
